​Report on the March Workshop.  

The March workshop was led by fellow member Ruth Clark and her subject was printing with Tetra packs. Having admired Ruth’s interesting work I invited her to run a fun workshop for our members.
We all arrived, equipped with washed and flattened tetra packs along with pointy equipment, Stanley knives, scissors, mini screwdrivers etc we were ready to learn. Ruth introduced us to the medium by demonstrating the first part of the process and we duly went on to experiment in this initial stage. Members enjoyed themselves and learned how to work the tools on the tetras. The next stage was applying the ink and then buffing the surface. Once this stage was complete we printed our surface onto strong cartridge paper by using Ruth’s printing presses. The results were super and the individual interpretations were varied and interesting. Everyone who attended had a great time and were grateful to Ruth for sharing her special medium and her expertise. Again many thanks Ruth.
