July meeting report:
Today’s workshop by AJ Ludlow watercolour paints was great. We all experienced a new type of iridescent watercolour paint which gave our work unusual reflective qualities. Everyone enjoyed the process of building the woodland scene on a black background. The second piece, with Meiru as our tutor, was more traditional of crashing waves on rocks. We were instructed on both wet on wet and wet in dry techniques, which were new to many members. See the scrollable gallery below for photos!

Paint Out at the Quay, Cardigan SA43 1HR 10.30am
Meet on the Quay in Cardigan at 10.30am. Parking is available around the Castle or down at the Lower Car Park by the river. Urban sketching or painting of the bridge, old warehouses, (now the Albion Hotel), the Castle, Otter statue or the river and boats. If the weather is poor we can retire to 1176, the Castle Coffee House, which has picture windows overlooking the quay and river and is open until 2.00pm. Toilets are available and the Cardigan Arts Exhibition is also on in the Guildhall, if you would like to wander through town.

AGM 10.30am at Nevern Hall.
Subscriptions are due at the AGM. The subscription is £25 per annum.
We now have a full complement of 50 members, with 3 potential members on a waiting list. The increase in membership fee from £20 to £25 is the first for many years and will enable us to continue to provide a comprehensive programme of workshops, exhibitions and social events.
